“ It’s not the “deep-dish” pizza u r thinking of but it was a great place for an unique kind experience. Staff were friendly and the space was super cool. Bread was definitely a great plus as appetizer. It was huge with an impressive taste. Pliable and bouncing in ur mouth. Pizza was good, the taste, seasoning, outstanding. The only thing was that the bread part was too soft and it was thick. Still, this is their iconic-special dish so worth a try when visit. Salad was a classic when u need veggies. ”
“ We were looking for a classic Chicago Pizza experience and Boy Did this Take the Cake!! The atmosphere is perfect- relaxing, dark and intimate without being toooo dark. Super friendly staff. Our server, Marissa, was AMAZING!!! She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, patient and FUN! And then- the FOOD! OH MY GOODNESS! SOOOO DELICIOUS!! Don't hesitate, just go! ”
“ Went here for the first time when my husband and I visited Chicago last month. Loved this restaurant. The building itself is old school and super cool. The vibe is so cozy and it feels like you're sitting in a piece of history. Drinks were fantastic. Bar was stocked. The food was delicious. I can't even describe the pizza pot pie. I love pizza in all her forms - thin crust, deep dish, and now this pot pie form. They're able to customize it with your own fillings and this is easily vegetarian friendly. Surprisingly, my favorite thing that I ate was the bread and salad. Highly recommend, especially if you're eating with a group. And the service was spectacular. Our waitress was quick, attentive, knowledgeable of the menu, and made recommendations. Can't wait to come again one day!! ”
“ Could not recommend this restaurant enough! The atmosphere is incredible, super old school from the dark wooden booth to the jazz standards on the stereo. Our server was incredible, friendly, funny, and gave great recommendations! The chef’s salad is just a vehicle for the Sour Cream and Garlic and Poppy Seed dressings — they are that good and even better when mixed together. The Mediterranean Bread was definitely my favorite item, smothered in garlic butter, their Italian seasoning blend is to die for and you will want to finish the whole thing, but then you won’t have room for the main attraction — the Pizza Pot Pie. The red sauce is rich with spices from its 12 hour cook time, the Wisconsin Brick Cheese has all the qualities you’d want from a traditional mozzarella but with a thicker, cheesy flavor, and the crust is puff pastry adjacent and super doughy. A unique pizza experience in a city famous for its pizza. We also got the Italian Combination and while it was good, I definitely could have done without it. Chicago Pizza Oven is a hidden gem in the Windy City. ”
“ This place went viral for a reason! We went off tiktok recommendations and tried the Mediterranean bread and the 1lb pot pie (no mushrooms). The bread was a large, delicious portion sharable for 3-4 people. My daughter and I couldn’t stop eating on it while waiting for our pizza pot pie. Then the magic happened when our wonderful server came out with it. The pot pie is such a good bite and the 1lber will feed two comfortably with the appetizer addition. The service was excellent It’s a cozy little nook so servers walk by regularly checking on your experience. For being in Chicago i felt like the place was very affordable as well. Absolute must try! ”
“ Make reservations! This was an amazing delicious experience but without reservations it will be a wait to get in which was fine no complaints service was fine forgot a few things we ordered. The pot pizza was definitely worth the wait they have a Mediterranean bread that's smells amazing didn't get to try this time but looked and smelled amazing! Parking wasn't bad we were able to find parking without any issues ”

“ We had the bread with herbs and olive oil as an appetizer. It's big and thin, and you cut it as you go, so it was a bit messy, but very tasty. The pizza was great! The sauce is one of the best I've had. We didn't have room for dessert, but they brought us molasses honeycomb covered in chocolate. They were delicious! Also, you only pay with cash. ”
